EDMONTON COMMUNITY RUN/FUNDRAISER MAY 2025
Salomon will be on-site with demo pairs of the Aero Glide 3 GRVL, an all-terrain shoe that offers the freedom to run from roads to gravel and beyond. Its high stack TPU midsole provides a bouncy and cushioned ride, while 2.5mm gravel lugs ensure optimal traction both on and off the pavement. Its secure fit and grippy sole dares you to switch terrain and explore new playgrounds.
Make sure you stick around afterwards for a raffle in support of the Children’s Strollery and a silent auction to raise funds for POW Canada! Food and refreshments are courtesy of Salomon.
A huge thank you to our local supporters for providing prizing for this event: Track and Trail, Ably by Jill and Dante, North Sun Ultra, Salomon, Trail Wind Nutrition, and Krammed Kookies.

Why This Matters
Our mountain towns thrive on a strong and stable outdoor economy. From winter tourism to summer recreation, our communities depend on reliable seasons, healthy landscapes, and a predictable climate. But as winters shorten, snowfall becomes unpredictable, and wildfires, floods, and landslides intensify, the future of these economies is at risk.
The Outdoor Recreation Economy generates $102 billion annually and supports one million jobs across Canada, including many in Whistler, Revelstoke, Fernie, and Nelson. The impact of climate change is no longer a distant threat; it’s already being felt in our businesses, resorts, and local communities.
So what can we do about it?
The POW Canada Town Halls are a chance to come together, athletes, business leaders, policymakers, and passionate outdoor enthusiasts, to discuss the challenges we face and explore solutions that will strengthen our communities and economy.
This isn’t just about winter. It’s about protecting the places we love, the industries we rely on, and the future we want to build together.
