POW CANADA X BANFF CENTRE MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL 2026 - VOLUNTEER CALL OUT

Submission to apply: October 30th

You're invited to activate with POW Canada at the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival this fall!

November 2026 marks the festival's 51st year, and we're bringing the POW stoke in a big way. All weekend, you'll find us at the POW x YETI booth in the Festival Marketplace, with merch for sale and a membership contest for anyone who joins POW Canada at the festival. Then we're teaming up with Rab and the Banff Centre to throw the POW x Rab party, a fundraising evening that brings festival-goers and the outdoor industry together to celebrate the community that makes it all happen.

We need your help!

Volunteers are needed to help support these initiatives. Can we count you in? The hours where we're still looking for volunteers are:

POW x YETI Booth Activation @ Festival Marketplace, Friday November 6th (1 Shift)

  • Full! Thank you to everyone who signed up.

POW x YETI Booth Activation @ Festival Marketplace, Saturday November 7th (3 Shifts)

  • Shift one: 9:30 am - 12:30pm
  • Shift two: 12:30pm - 4pm
  • Shift three: 4pm - 7:30pm

POW x YETI Booth Activation @ Festival Marketplace, Sunday November 8th (1 Shift)

  • Shift one: 9:30 am - 1:30pm

POW Pre-Season Party ft Rab @ Kinnear Centre, 1st Floor Patio, Saturday November 7th (1 Shift)

  • 4:30pm - 7:30pm

This is where you come in.

We need a crew of dedicated volunteers who can help run the POW Canada booth throughout the weekend. Your job: building the POW stoke, getting members signed up, letting people know about our advocacy campaigns, and fundraising. POW staff will also be there to help support and troubleshoot as needed.

Choose as many shifts as you'd like! If you have questions, or want to join in but the shift is full or you need more flexibility, please reach out: [email protected]. Otherwise, scroll down, fill out the form here, and mark your calendar!

We recognize, with deep respect and gratitude, our home on the side of Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain. In the spirit of respect and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Banff area, known as “Minihrpa” (translated in Stoney Nakoda as “the waterfalls”) and the Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) – comprised of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney Nations – as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Blackfoot Confederacy comprised of the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Shuswap Nations, Ktunaxa Nations, and Metis Nation of Alberta, Rockyview District 4. We acknowledge all Nations who live, work, and play here, help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this place.
