WELCOME TO THE GROUND GAME

Protect Our Winters Canada chapters are vibrant, grassroots communities dedicated to advancing climate action at the local level. Led by passionate volunteers, our chapters work directly with residents, community leaders, and local government officials to advocate for effective climate policies.

By harnessing the collective power of outdoor enthusiasts and local change makers, our chapters strive to create meaningful change through education, advocacy, and action. Together, we are committed to preserving and protecting the natural environments that inspire our adventures.

DID YOU KNOW...

  • Municipal governments control up to 70% of climate-related policies, making local action crucial for effective climate solutions? By engaging with local policymakers, our chapters can drive significant change where it matters most.
  • Grassroots movements have the power to galvanize communities, turning concern into action. Active chapters can mobilize residents to adopt sustainable practices, support green initiatives, and demand stronger environmental regulations.
  • When individuals unite in grassroots efforts, their collective voice can become a powerful force for policy change. Active participation in chapter activities can create a groundswell of public support, motivating local governments to implement and strengthen climate policies, ultimately driving broader environmental reform.

Each chapter's efforts contribute to a larger, collective impact. By fostering local climate action, we can build momentum that influences national and even global policies, demonstrating the power of community-driven change in combating climate change.
