Snowboarding and mountain biking keep my heart racing and my connection to the outdoors strong. I’m passionate about making action sports more accessible, but I believe that access means little if we don’t protect the places that make these sports possible. That’s why climate action is part of my everyday life. I want to help preserve our favorite playgrounds and leave a better world for the next generation.

Nicolas lives for winter, there's no debate there. Snowboarding has been part of his life for over two decades, it’s a big part of who he is. Strapped in, he’s always chasing his next alpine quest and fresh lines like it’s second nature. 

Stepping in as a POW Chapter Leader was a no-brainer to keep the stoke alive. It’s his way of giving back to the community by connecting with fellow outdoor lovers to protect the places we thrive in, so the powder stays deep and the good times keep rolling!

Nicolas vit pour l’hiver, cela ne fait aucun doute. Avide snowboarder depuis plus de vingt ans, cette pratique est tout simplement devenue une partie de lui-même. Que ce soit en snowboard ou en splitboard, il est toujours à la recherche de sa prochaine aventure en montagne. C’est donc tout naturellement qu’il a décidé de s’impliquer avec POW pour entretenir sa passion. C’est sa façon de redonner, aux côtés d’autres passionnés, pour protéger le climat et les espaces naturels. Parce qu’un hiver sans neige, ça ne fait pas partie du plan!

Some people find their way to climate action through science, activism or research. Jeanne found hers through powder days and the unsettling realization that there's less of them every season. As a lifelong snowboarder and mountain biker, and now the mother of a little shredder, she's spent years caring about this stuff from the sidelines. Getting involved with POW Canada is how she's turning anxiety into action. She believes that ordinary people can move the needle more than they think, and that there's real power in getting the right people around the table.
