Beth joined POW because she believes in action over apathy. A slightly below-average skier, climber, and hiker, she wanted to be part of a community working to protect the places she lives, works, and plays. Over the past decade, she has built a career in public health, focusing on knowledge sharing and community engagement. As a Vancouver Chapter Lead, Beth is passionate about the role local action can play in addressing climate change and is excited to help connect, inspire, and mobilize her community to create meaningful change.

My love for recreating outdoors sparked a passion for environmental conservation. Through my academic journey I have earned a BA in Environmental Studies and a MSc in Environmental Planning. Winters you can find me skiing, touring and racing myself on XC skis. Summers I am out trail running, hiking and surfing. I have found an incredibly passionate community in outdoor activities as well as in the climate and sustainability space. I want to bring my knowledge, energy and passion to connect these communities and create meaningful impacts that will protect our natural places today and well into the future.
