Pick your favourite: Ripping laps at Blue Mountain, Nordic skiing in Beaver Valley, or riding some quiet forest singletrack… exploring the Niagara Escarpment and beyond keeps us coming back for more in all four seasons. The Blue Mountains are truly Southern Ontario's outdoor playground. But from the water front to the mountain tops, it’s not guaranteed forever, and we have a choice in what the future holds. It’s time to keep your riding rad.

1. GET INVOLVED
2. HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD
There is a municipal election on Monday October 26, 2026 across Ontario, which means casting your vote for positions such as: mayors, municipal councillors, and school boards trustees.
Local governments all run their own elections, which means they’re managed individually (unlike provincial elections). We can’t link to every community, but here’s one database to rev up your rad riding. Otherwise, if you look up “[your community name] municipal election 2026” that’s a good place to start!
- Voter registration information is all in one place: https://www.registertovoteon.ca/
- The last municipal election in 2022 only saw 33% of eligible voters turn up. Not that rad! Let’s show them what the outdoor community can do,
3. JUST HOW RAD IS OUR RIDING?
- We can fully take advantage of all four seasons here: Collingwood has 70 km of interconnected recreational trails for hiking, cycling, and XC skiing; Blue Mountain is Ontario’s largest ski resort, and Wasaga Beach has the world’s longest freshwater beach!
- Over nine million visitors a year contributing $1 billion to the tourism industry? Yeah, we get it… That also means tens of thousands of residents rely on it as part of their job. In Collingwood, it’s 70% of the workforce!
