Date: Thursday, November 20th
Time: 6PM - 9PM
Venue: Smartwool Banff - 138 Banff Ave
Join us for an evening that brings together movement, community, and purpose, celebrating the places we love with a community run up to Tunnel Mountain.
What to Expect:
We’ll kick things off with a community run/hike up Tunnel Mountain and back to the Smartwool store. Whether you’re chasing your best pace or just along for the vibe, this run is for everyone. Don't forget to pack:
- A headlamp (required)
- Potentially traction for shoes, depending what Mother Nature does!
- Water
After the run, stick around at 7:30 PM for snacks, drinks, and a talk with Laura Hughes, POW Science Alliance member and Associate Director of Communities and Decarbonization at the Pembina Institute. We’ll dive into Bow Valley–specific initiatives, upcoming events, and how we can all take action to protect the places that make our adventures possible.
The Program:
- Run/Hike up Tunnel Mountain led by Helly Hansen’s run group leader, Dan Evans
- Raffle to raise funds for POW Canada with prizes from POW, Smartwool, Salomon & Helly Hansen
- Salomon Demo Shoes: Test them out on the trail
- POW Canada Presentation: Learn how you can take action for winter
In Collaboration With:
- POW Canada – organizer, prizing & guest speaker
- Smartwool Banff – your host for the evening
- Salomon – demo shoes & giveaways
- Helly Hansen – prizing & run group leader
Come for the run, stay for the community, and leave inspired to protect winter.
