MEC's Hot Planet Cool Athletes program - powered by POW Canada is a climate change education platform for teachers and students across Canada. Developed with leading climate researchers and educators at the University of Waterloo, this unique program features engaging in-person educational presentations by world-class athletes, a comprehensive bank of teacher resources for developing climate-focused lesson plans and effective and empowering Climate challenges that encourage students to take action and become effective climate advocates within their own communities.

Should I register our whole school or just my classroom?
WHOLE SCHOOL! Due to tour limitations we are only able to present to large groups.
I’m a student, how do I register my school?
Get us in contact with the right person (your teacher, principal etc.) and we will do the rest!
Who is this event for?
MEC's Hot Planet Cool Athletes is aimed at high school students! However, the program can be tailored to ages 12+.
Is there a virtual option?
No, this tour is an in-person event. We are working on a virtual option for the future, please contact us for more information.
My class is Grade 6 or lower and would like to participate.
