Jeffrey Read is an alpine ski racer on the Canadian alpine ski team and a 2026 Olympian, having competed at the Milan Cortina Games. Originally from Canmore, Alberta, he has raced on the World Cup circuit since 2018.
Skiing is the family business. Jeffrey is a third-generation alpine racer, with deep ski roots on both sides of his family. In the Canadian Rockies, winter was never a season to wait out but the center of the year, shaping how he learned to move on snow and love the mountains.
That upbringing gave him an early understanding of what winter makes possible: community, tradition, and the chance to compete at the highest level. As a World Cup athlete, he travels across continents each season and sees firsthand how changing conditions affect training, racing, and the mountain towns that welcome skiers year after year.
When the snow melts, Jeffrey stays outside. He's an avid hiker and biker, and he'll happily take on just about any outdoor pursuit in the off season.
