Protect Our Winters Calgary Chapter is thrilled to announce our first ever POW Calgary Run for Winter Event! This event is graciously supported by Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. and Arc'teryx Calgary.
Join us while we jog/run around the Bow River Pathway in celebration of Winter! No matter your skill level, pace, or ability, there are no prerequisites to being an outdoor enthusiast. We believe no one should run alone, so come for the camaraderie, brave the cold, and show your winter stoke!
Event Details: Saturday, February 25.
Registration is by donation (recommended starting at $10), with all proceeds donated to POW Canada. Registration includes participation in the run and entry for some awesome door prizes from our Local Supporters, Arc'teryx Calgary and Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. will additionally be donating $1 from every pint served after the run to POW Canada.
Check-in starts at 11 am MST at the Eighty-Eight Brewing Taproom.
Safety and route discussion starts at 12 pm MST.
Pre-run group warm up starts at 12:15 pm MST. Participants will complete approximately a 6 km running loop led by the 1988 Sports Club. The exact running loop map will be provided to participants in advance of the event.
The run starts at 12:30 pm MST.
Post-run, meet back at Eighty-Eight for a celebratory beverage. At 1:45 pm MST, there will be short speeches delivered by Eighty-Eight Brewing, Arc'teryx Calgary, and the POW Calgary Chapter. The event will end off with several amazing door prizes.
