BUFF X POW : AN ORGANIC FIT
Once again, we are very excited to launch a new product collaboration with Buff this summer! This is another opportunity for us to highlight this beautiful partnership that we've had with them for now 5 years.
It all began right here in Canada. Buff and POW Canada joined forces in 2018. The success of our collaboration propelled Buff to expand their support internationally. Now, we're proud to share that they are collaborating with POW US and POW Europe! As our partnership grew, so did our vision. Together, we embarked on a mission to design a product collaboration that embodies Buff's global support for POW and amplifies our message to customers and retailers worldwide.
We’re now at our fourth collaboration and this time, we had the privilege of working with the talented artist Rachel Jung on a summer focused piece, which is exploring our connection to nature and the impact we can have on it. What's more, our collaboration extends to both adults and youth, ensuring that everyone can bring us on their next adventure.
The artist behind the collab
Rachel's vibrant art is a testament to her deep inspiration from the great outdoors, adventurous spirit, and love for dogs. When she's not immersed in her creative process, you can find Rachel camping, off-roading, or hiking, embracing the very elements that fuel her art. Proceeds from these lively designs help support the work of Protect Our Winters.
Here are descriptions of both designs in Rachel’s own words:
"My idea behind this design is to explore our connection to nature and the impact we can have on it. I wanted to show the water flowing from the lake (where a human is on a boat) and how that flows into rivers where it brings life and food to predators and water bringing life to the plants, kind of "circle of life" idea. The human on the boat resembles the direct impact we have if pollute and the chain reaction that would occur in the environment. We are responsible for the wellbeing of nature, and in turn, it may gives us back its glory."
United by Nature
"Similarly to the "Flow of Life" design, I wanted to encompass the idea of our interconnectedness with nature while incorporating some fun, youthful elements. I have the mountains in the shape of a wolf howling which shows the unity as it symbolizes the togetherness of their pack. I have the hills transitioning to the trees, again the circle of life idea. I really want this piece to show the togetherness of nature!"
Buff's sustainability commitments
As a certified B Corp company, Buff firmly believes in harnessing the power of business for positive change. From day one, they've dedicated themselves to caring for the well-being of the planet and the people who share it. Do More Now is their commitment to growing as a global organization while protecting the environment, producing responsibly, and pursuing the well-being of their employees and the communities they serve.
Did you know that Buff products are made of recycled plastic bottles?
That bottle you recycled yesterday could be part of your outdoor kit tomorrow. In fact, if you already own one of BUFF® Original EcoStretch Multifunctional Neckwear pieces, you have already worn the equivalent of 2 plastic bottles around your neck. Buff makes each one of their Original EcoStretch tubulars from 95% recycled fabric as part of their ongoing mission to create a circular economy and to be innovative about not just how their products function, but how they are made, and what they are made of.
