EARTH ASSEMBLY APRIL 22

EMPOWERING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO BECOME CLIMATE LEADERS
Developed by the Centre on Climate Change at the University of Waterloo

Are you a high school teacher?

Gather your students and join Hot Planet Cool Athletes for the Earth Assembly, a live and interactive online event to celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd 2022) presented by POW Canada professional athletes Haley Daniels (Olympic Canoeist) and Mike Douglas (Professional Skier & Filmmaker).

This one hour LIVE presentation will be hosted on Zoom and consist of a range of media presentations and interactive activities between the athletes and participating classrooms.

Through Earth Assembly, we hope to encourage students to take action and become effective climate advocates within their own communities, while reaching a wide and diverse group of students through this online platform. This program will be supported by a comprehensive bank of teacher resources for developing lesson climate-focussed lesson plans.
