Mike Berard is a Vancouver Island, B.C.-based writer. In the past, he has worked as editor of SBC Skier, The Ski Journal, and Coast Mountain Culture magazines. Today he creates innovative campaigns and writes for leading outdoor brands while mountain biking, skiing, and exploring the waterways of Vancouver Island. He has spent his life enjoying the forest, rivers and mountains of British Columbia, and strives to be a part of a solution in safeguarding the wild places that shaped him. Mike began volunteering with Protect Our Winters during its very first marketing campaign in 2007, and is honoured to be included as a creative ambassador.
