As ski resort operators you are on the front lines of climate change- experiencing the effects of shorter winters and warmer temperatures that ultimately affect your bottom line. Perhaps you have already implemented a robust sustainability program and are working towards achieving net zero, or perhaps you are unsure of where to start. Regardless the future of your business is being threatened by climate change.

Join us on June 29th 2021 at 10am -11:15am PST/ 1:00 -2:15pm EST for an information session from industry experts on climate risk, mitigation and advocacy opportunities for ski resorts and an introduction to the POW Resort Alliance Program.

Izzy Lynch, Program Director, Protect Our Winters Canada

Izzy Lynch is the Program Director at Protect Our Winters Canada. A lifetime of skiing and over a decade of professional skiing and industry experience has inspired her to fight for climate action to protect the sport and places she loves. All other industries have organized themselves in a way to influence over policy decisions which are important to their industry. The outdoor industry in Canada is massive, yet has never been organized in a way to have a collective voice and collaborative influence. POW's mission is to build alliances in the industry to create a powerful voice. Izzy will introduce the POW Resort Alliance Program, an alliance of Canadian ski resort operators who recognize they are on the front lines of climate change, and are taking bold action against it. POW's program works with resorts to meet them no matter where they are at on their sustainability journey, and offers opportunities, support, and education to those who are ready to stand up and make a difference.
